Step 1 - Research / Interview
The first thing we do is set up a convenient time to interview you about your new site and business. The preliminary interview usually lasts about an hour and can be done over the phone. Subsequent to the interview we research competing businesses' web sites for design, content and search engine purposes.

Step 2 - Content Creation
We'll guide you through what pages and the type of content to include on each page of your new site.

Step 3 - Mockup(s)
Once we've spoken with you and looked at competing businesses' web sites, we create up to three mockup(s) of your site for your review before the site is assembled. The mockups are large images that show you what the site will look like before the web site has actually been created. Upon approval of the design, we begin constructing your new site.

Step 4 - Site Creation
You may review the entire site before it's moved online to the web hosting computer. The web hosting company is the place where your site will "live" on the Internet.

Step 5 - Search Engine Optimization and Submission
Search engine optimization is an extremely important service we provide to each of our customers. The objective of optimizing a web site is to have it appear at the top of search engine results for key words or phrases associated with your business. A web site can only be successful if your potential customers can find it.
Search engine optimization is a different service than "adding meta-tags to a website". Web designers often "add meta-tags" to new sites, but these sites still aren't found in the search engines. Search engine optimization is a time consuming process that involves analyzing your site, competitor sites, search engine database information, and more. It is usually provided as a service separate from web site design and generally costs more than the design of the site itself, but we provide it free to all of our small business customers.
Search engine submission means your site will be submitted to the major search engines for inclusion.

Step 6 - Web Site, Domain Name, and Email Setup
We arrange for all of the setup involved in putting your site online. The web hosting company we prefer to work with provides extensive web site statistics reports with each new site.
